Join the Fresno State California Climate Action Corps to learn about food waste diversion and get hands-on with our team's composting operation.
Members of our team will present on what composting is and how attendees can start diverting waste at home, afterwards giving volunteers the opportunity to learn how to properly maintain compost piles by turning those at our site's.
Volunteers will be able to take home a sample of our compost to utilize at home in planting or propagation projects for free. Additionally, attendees may bring their own food scraps from home to incorporate into our piles. Snacks and water will be provided.
