The Fresno State Latina/o Faculty & Staff Association, established in 2009, is an organization dedicated to providing voice and representation for the coalition of Latinas/os, Hispanic, Chicanas/os, and other related faculty and staff on campus.
It is with great pleasure that we introduce the 2024-25 executive board:
- President: José Eduardo Mundo, academic and career advisor in College Assistance Migrant Program
- Co-Vice President: Itzel Montoya Sanchez, program advisor in Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership
- Co-Vice President: Samuel Contreras, assistant professor of Media, Communications and Journalism
- Secretary: Claudia Ceja, university internship coordinator in Career Development Center
- Treasurer: Randy Aoki, administrative analyst in the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Office of the Vice Provost
- Activities Chair: Erika Castañon, coordinator in Office of New Student and Family Programs
Membership is open for all Latina/o faculty and staff employees, and to any faculty or staff member who supports and subscribes to the principles and purposes of the association regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, physical disability, mental disability and medical condition.
While LFSA does not require membership dues, donations are greatly appreciated to support association initiatives such as professional development workshops, events and social gatherings.
