Bulldog Connect is Fresno State’s student success and engagement platform, designed to help students connect with campus support, manage important tasks and access resources throughout their academic journey.

The Bulldog Connect App now includes Barkly, an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot assistant that helps students find Fresno State information, resources and support.

Barkly — short for Bulldog Assistance, Resources & Knowledge (BARK) — can answer questions, help students identify next steps and connect them with the appropriate campus office. Barkly is designed to complement the support provided by advisors and other student success professionals.

Students will begin receiving outreach from Barkly this semester, including text-message check-ins that allow them to respond directly with questions or requests for support.

As you work with students this semester, we encourage you to remind them that they can use Bulldog Connect to:

• Ask Barkly when they have a question or are unsure where to start.
• Schedule and manage appointments.
• Find campus offices, services and resources.
• Use the “Hand Raise” feature to request support from a Fresno State office.
• Keep up with important tasks, reminders and information.
