Fresno State full-time faculty who have interest or experience in transportation science are invited to apply to be Faculty Fellows with the Fresno State Transportation Institute. The institute expects to fund 10 Faculty Fellows per year. Faculty Fellows serve for one year and can apply for an additional one-year term(s) annually.

The Fresno State Transportation Institute was established as an interdisciplinary institute in fall 2017, focusing on advanced transportation systems. It is the seed of a unique collaboration between the California State University, Lyles College of Engineering, Craig School of Business, College of Social Sciences and Fresno Council of Governments. Building on a diverse set of activities, the institute is intended to be an innovation enabler for developing and implementing advanced multimodal and transit projects in Fresno County and beyond. Its core mission includes education, research, technical service and public outreach.
