This is a reminder of the reporting requirements for COVID-19 and the importance of these requirements.
The reporting requirements apply to anyone on campus this fall semester — whether you are attending or teaching in-person classes, participating in campus-sponsored off-campus experiential learning, working on campus or at a campus-affiliated location, or coming to campus only occasionally, to briefly pick up items at the library, bookstore or elsewhere.
If you have tested positive for the virus or believe you have been exposed, your privacy will be protected to the greatest extent possible. Upon receiving notification of a positive test, the University will take preventive measures to reduce the spread among our campus community, as outlined here [#2].
However, the entire mitigation process is dependent on the accuracy of the data shared by the individual who has tested positive. That’s why we depend on you to take these steps if: A) you are sick with COVID-19 related symptoms and/or have tested positive or B) you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive or is strongly suspected of having COVID-19.
Thank you for your cooperation with these protocols, as together it is our responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our campus community. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lisa Kao, director of Environmental Health and Safety, at lisak@csufresno.edu or 559.278.6910.
