Goes Above & Beyond
Amanda Eberlein, Admissions
Thank you for serving as safety coordinator for our office over the past years and for training our new safety coordinator.
Christine Rotzinger, Recruitment
Thank you for serving as safety coordinator over the years and for training the new safety coordinator.
Fatih Yenen, Technology Services
Fatih was immensely instrumental in the development and launch of each of the College of Health and Human Services’ 19 department and center websites. From conception to completion, Fatih was there every step of the way to provide much needed guidance, advice and assistance as we navigated our website redesign. His patience, attention to detail and knowledge in the field made it a smooth transition and experience for our website editors.
Laura Gribben, Faculty Affairs
Thank you, Laura, for going above and beyond!
Molly Smith, Construction Management
Molly has taken on many duties that are outside her contract scope. She became OSHA certified to help create a safe work and learning environment for faculty and students. She also created safety training for our construction management students to meet ACCE accreditation outcomes and prepare them for a job in the field. Recently she has used her knowledge to keep our workplace safe during the remodeling in Engineering East. Now that students, faculty, and staff are back on campus, Molly takes time to ensure our safety and that of the construction crews is being observed. I am very happy to have a coworker that is so proactive to ensure our safety.
Will Tubbs, Technology Services
If I was able to select all the reasons to give Will a high five, I would. He is the most attentive IT person we have ever had. He checks in frequently to ensure our office is functioning as best as we can and always has a positive attitude. Thank you, Will, for being so amazing!
Faculty Affairs
Faculty Affairs and their team work extra hard every semester to get our team of over 120 student staff hired during the busiest time of the semester. We appreciate all the support they give everyone here in the Learning Center. Thank you.
Principles of Community
James Herrin, Technology Services
James is kind and collaborative. He fostered a sense of belonging and demonstrated compassion, empathy, care and concern. He contributed to making Fresno State a welcoming community for me; his mindful actions and good intentions made me feel happy. He enlisted others to achieve a common goal and to create a positive work and learning environment.
Kris Ratliff, Technology Services
Kris is kind. He fostered a sense of belonging and demonstrated compassion, empathy, care and concern. He contributed to making Fresno State a welcoming community for me; his mindful actions and good intentions made me feel happy!
Ross Whitton, College of Social Sciences
Ross stands out as an academic advisor on campus and truly embodies Fresno State's principles of community. He works every day to not only "boldly educate and empower students for success," but further acts to empower his staff, student staff and colleagues. Ross not only treats each student with respect, but further respects their autonomy in deciding their own academic pathway. As a supervisor he values the opinions and abilities of others, is aware of and recognizes the individual needs of both staff and students, and overall acts with integrity through his work. He treats students with empathy and compassion and is thoughtful when addressing their specific needs. He is quick to empower others by providing opportunities to excel and grow, and further fosters individual development with patience and honesty. Ross models the principle of collaboration by serving as a leader for the advising community on campus. He has worked tirelessly to foster communication and collaboration between the different advising centers on campus through monthly "centers" meetings and other efforts, which keeps us all together despite how busy the academic year can get. Without Ross, Fresno State would lose a critical advocate for students and a core pillar of advising services on campus. He is an exceptional advisor and human being, and his work is recognized and appreciated on campus.
Ty Cilluffo, Technology Services
Ty is kind. He fostered a sense of belonging and demonstrated compassion, empathy, care and concern. He contributed to making Fresno State a welcoming community for me; his mindful actions and good intentions made me feel happy!
Provided Excellent Customer Service
Ashley Smith, Craig School of Business
Ashley is a recent addition to our office and has such an amazing way of communicating with our students. She provides accurate information to our students and is not afraid to ask for clarification on University policies.
Jennifer Olsen, Payroll Services
Jennifer is one of the most patient and kind people I get to work with on campus. She is helpful no matter how often I ask questions (which is often) and is always happy to provide a helpful response. I was new to a role within my division and Jennifer has been very patient with my endless questions and mix-ups. Jennifer is an asset to the university, and I appreciate everything she does.
Jonathan Castro, Technology Services
Whenever an issue comes up with our websites, Jonathan is always very quick to follow up and get the problem solved in a timely and precise manner. This was evident during the College of Health and Human Services website redesign process. Jonathan kicked it off by holding multiple training sessions (via Zoom) for our staff and was always available to assist us whenever we had questions, website edits or work orders. His expertise and collaborative nature were very much appreciated, and essential, as we navigated our website redesign. Thank you, Jonathan!
Ryan Sepulveda, Human Resources
Ryan is very helpful no matter how many times I call to ask questions. He has been integral in helping with our division's hiring of student assistants and has been so helpful to me and the students. Ryan is a great colleague and an asset to HR. Thank you Ryan!
Traffic Operations
I am super appreciative to the traffic officers that manage the Barstow/Ag area. I am a new employee and every morning I wave to say thank you. It has to be scary standing in the middle of heavy traffic, but the risk keeps traffic flowing and helps us all get to work and school on time. Thank you for this service!
