For this academic school year, the California Water Institute (CWI) will host its Water Book Club during the fall.
This semester, the reading will be “Water to the Angels: William Mulholland, His Monumental Aqueduct, and the Rise of Los Angeles” by Les Standiford. Books will be provided by CWI while supplies last.
If you are interested in water topics or would just like to increase your water knowledge, you are invited to join the Fresno State Water Book Club. Led by the California Water Institute, the Water Book Club will begin meeting in late September/early October. All campus students, faculty and staff are invited to participate.
The semester-long Water Book Club will meet virtually once a week during the lunch hour to go over the reading and have meaningful discussions on the issues presented.
Past books read by the Water Book Club include:
- "Where the Water Goes: Life and Death Along the Colorado River” by David Owen
- "Superman's Not Coming: Our National Water Crisis and What We the People Can Do About It" by Deckle Edge
