Fresno State head men's basketball coach Rodney Terry has been named the congressman for the Mountain West on the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division I Congress. He fills the position previously held by San Diego State's Steve Fisher, who retired this past April.
"It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to represent the Mountain West Conference on the NABC Congress," Rodney said. "I have so much respect for Coach Fisher and I'll do my best to advocate for our coaches, student-athletes and sport in this role."

Wade Gilbert (Kinesiology) will deliver the annual Kristen Marie Gould Endowed Lecture on Sport for Children and Youth at Michigan State University on September 14. He is only the fifth scholar to do so.

Martha Vungkhanching (Social Work) was among the published authors in the latest edition of Health and Social Care in Community for her article, “Social Work Generated Evidence in Traumatic Brain Injury from 1975 to 2014: A Systematic Scoping Journal”.

Chayeng Xiong and Cher Teng Yang (Social Work Title IV-E) presented a training workshop at the 2017 Advancing Social Work Practice Skills in Health and Social Care Conference, held at Hue University of Sciences in Vietnam earlier this summer. Their workshop focused on child welfare practices, programs and policies, particularly in the U.S.
