The Dream Success Center would like to invite our campus community to attend a debrief and update on DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). Several lawsuits are in litigation pertaining to DACA and one most recent is being decided on to terminate DACA. Mrs. Allison Davenport, Staff Attorney with the non-profit, Immigration Legal Resource Center, will be here on campus on Tuesday, Sept. 4, from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. in USU 312-314 to provide information to you and our students.
The federal court decisions regarding DACA are having a impact in our Dreamer student population and we encourage our students, staff, and faculty to empower ourselves with accurate information. Allison will also review other ways that students can adjust their status, and what rights we all have (including allies).
Contact the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management for more information on the briefing, 559.278.2541.
