Dr. Luis Gordo Peláez, associate professor, Department of Art, Design, and Art History, published the article "Apuntes sobre el culto e imagen del armenio San Blas en la España de la Edad Moderna" in the book "Armenia en el mundo hispano," a publication dedicated to the historical and cultural relationship of Armenia with Spain and the Hispanic world.
He also collaborated in a section titled "Architectural History of Early Modern Spain and Spanish America in the United States," in the exhibition History of Hispanism: Spain and Beyond, organized by the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C.

Barlow Der Mugrdechian, professor, Armenian Studies Program, was an organizer and participant in the Society for Armenian Studies 50th anniversary conference, "Armenian Studies: Evolving Connections and Conversations," held at Harvard University. More than 50 scholars from throughout the world gathered to present their work in various panels.
Mugrdechian, a six-time former President of the Society for Armenian Studies, was invited to give the concluding presentation at the conference. The Society for Armenian Studies is the largest professional organization in the world for scholars and teachers in the field of Armenian Studies.
Dr. Kent Willis, vice president of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, joined the Advisory Council for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
He will collaborate with the organization’s senior staff and regional partners in advancing HSF’s goals, particularly outreach and fundraising efforts. Additionally, he will assist the organization in expanding its programs and services for Latino students and parents, as well as serve as an ambassador for the organization at major events and throughout the community, interacting with students, alumni and their families.

President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval will serve as a co-vice chair of the inaugural Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority-Serving Institutions Federal Advisory Council.
As a representative, he will represent the interests of large, public Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander-serving institutions and Hispanic-serving institutions.
