Goes Above & Beyond
Asheline Beeson, University Brand Strategy and Marketing
As the digital marketing specialist in the Brand Strategy and Marketing office, Asheline continues to do the highest level of engagement work for the university every day, making so many of our colleges and departments look good in the community. One part of her expansive job is supporting email marketing messages, so that campus entities can stay in touch strategically and effectively with alumni and friends. Asheline consistently went above and beyond recently in helping the English Department faculty and staff conceptualize, develop, and finally create its first email newsletter. This process took nearly six months! She played an integral role at every step, coaching and mentoring along the way, and bringing her deep expertise to every question and every potential snag. Asheline is a true gem in an office that often shines brightly.
Jorge Casillas, Police Department
Officer Casillas was called regarding a student who was struggling with some difficult life situations and who was irate and yelling at staff. Officer Casillas went above and beyond to assist the student and demonstrated a high level of kindness and empathy. Our campus community is in excellent hands!
Juanita Aguilar, Human Resources
Throughout the pandemic, Juanita has worked so hard to support our faculty and staff with their appropriate leaves and retirements. The pandemic has caused a huge surge in employee leaves and Juanita has been able to help and guide employees through that process as it relates to their unique situation. She is kind, compassionate, and makes each employee feel as though they are her main priority - no matter how busy she is. She truly is a rock star!
Kelly Nelson, Facilities Management
Kelly is one of those people you love to meet. You rarely see her without a smile and her laugh is infectious. Kelly goes above and beyond with keeping the Peters Business Building clean. She is extremely detail oriented. Kelly is a great leader as her enthusiasm and work ethic are qualities we all should inspire to.
Melissa Perez, College of Science and Mathematics
Melissa works fast and very efficient. Thanks Melissa, for always going above and beyond!
Selene Kinder, College of Science and Mathematics
Selene went out of her way to provide her expertise to us as we move toward producing our first newsletter. Not only did she offer her experience but also offered to help in the future with any questions. Thank you, Selene!
