Janell Morillo, Ed.D., associate vice president of Student Health and Wellness, was accepted into the California Education Policy Fellowship Program for 2025â26.
Through this distinguished fellowship, Dr. Morillo will join a network of leaders who engage with public education imperatives from multiple perspectives, examine policymaking and implementation efforts aimed at achieving equitable outcomes for underrepresented students, and explore how equity and inequity manifest across education systems. Additionally, participants deepen their understanding of the interconnectedness between Kâ12 and postsecondary education policy.
The fellowship is part of a national program sponsored by the Institute for Educational Leadership, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit. Grounded in the pillars of policy, leadership, and networking, the fellowship equips education leaders to drive meaningful, equity-focused change.
Dr. Julie B. Olson-Buchanan, dean of the Craig School of Business, will represent Fresno State on two inter-university committees this academic year. Olson-Buchanan was elected chair of the CSU Association of Business Deans for 2025-26. She was also named to the strategic planning committee for the Western Association of Collegiate Schools of Business.
