We are sorry to share that we are having to say goodbye to Margie Arreguin-Zarate who was assigned to our campus as our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) onsite counselor. Margie is a licensed clinical social worker and has accepted another career opportunity. Her last day with Fresno State was Sept. 15.
Margie has supported our Fresno State faculty and staff since 2018 and we are appreciative of her years of service to our campus community. We thank Margie and wish her the absolute best in her next professional endeavor!
"What I‘ve come to know during my time at Fresno State is that there are very dedicated employees here that not only want the best for themselves but for their workplace too. I leave feeling deeply honored that employees trusted me to seek help and support from. Thank you, Fresno State. I wish you abundance and continued wellness," Margie said.
Human Resources is working closely with Empathia, our Employee Assistance Plan provider, to onboard an onsite counselor to replace Margie. Once confirmed, we will provide an update, including days and hours for onsite appointment availability. In the meantime, EAP services continue to be available through Empathia/Life Matters by calling 800.367.7474 or by visiting mylifematters.com.
