With a combination of aerobic activity, agility, balance, and strength training, you can shed any unwanted pounds and tone your muscles in this moderate exercise class.
Pilates
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 12:10 - 12:40 pm, ED140
Utilize non-impact exercises to develop strength, flexibility, balance and inner awareness.
After Work:
Fundamental Self Defense Jiu-Jitsu
Mondays, 5:30 - 6:30 pm, Library 2134
Learn techniques and positions that statistically occur in street fights or self-defense situations. Participants will learn to move correctly and avoid serious injury. Light 'annoying' resistance and 'flow training' will be introduced to instill correct movement, positioning, and technique to help participants stay safe in threatening situations.
Circuit Training
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:30 - 6:30 pm, ED140
Combine interval training, full body weight exercises, and core workouts to strengthen and tone your whole body.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:30 pm, Library 2134
Jiu-Jitsu is primarily a non-striking, grappling art that provides the student the tools to defend against opponents of all sizes and statures, emphasizing the power of proper technique as a force to balance potential strength disadvantages. Jiu-Jitsu is a martial arts system appropriate for anyone - from the individual looking to get in shape, heighten one's ability to defend him or herself, to the experienced student looking to take his or Jiu-Jitsu to the next level.
