Tim Collins has been hired as Fresno State's senior associate athletics director for development.
He brings more than 13 years of professional experience working in collegiate athletics both in fundraising and as a college basketball coach. For the past five years, he has served as the associate athletics director for development at the University of Wyoming.
At Fresno State, Tim will be responsible for leading and managing all development and fundraising activities for the Department of Athletics, including supervision of fundraising staff in The Bulldog Foundation, a non-profit organization responsible for raising funds to support student-athlete scholarships.
"My family and I are beyond excited to be joining the Red Wave," Tim said. "As the son of an alumna, and having cheered on the Bulldogs at the '92 Freedom Bowl, I know firsthand how the Valley embraces Fresno State Athletics and its student-athletes."
Tim received his bachelor's degree in humanities, with an emphasis on political science, from Loyola Marymount in May 2005. He completed a master's degree in organizational management and sport administration from Chadron State in May 2008.
He and his wife, Renee, have a five-year-old daughter, Kennedy, and a three-year-old son, James.
