In honor of Chief David Huerta, who recently received a lung transplant and required several blood transfusions, Fresno State is holding a blood drive September 18-20. Local law enforcement is invited to donate during the kick off from 3-7:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 in the University Dining Hall.
Participation in blood drives saves lives. Because of someone who donated, members of our Fresno State family are alive today — people such as Makayla Weaver, a freshman at Fresno State and a leukemia survivor, and Chief Huerta, the University’s chief of police for 14 years. Come and show your support for Chief Huerta and other members of our campus community whose lives were saved by the generosity of people who care.
The campus blood drive includes an organ and tissue donor registry.
