Open Forums are planned for input into Principles of Community: How we treat each other.
Join us Monday, September 24, from 9 – 10 a.m. and/or Tuesday, September 25, from 9 – 10 a.m. in the Vintage Room for an update/overview of the process and opportunity to provide input.
Background:
In 2017 we conducted the Workplace Quality Survey to help us better understand faculty and staff perceptions of our work environment. The survey results have helped establish a baseline of strengths and identify areas that require our focus and attention.
One area that was identified as an opportunity for improvement is how we treat each other. The Workplace Quality Taskforce was charged with engaging the campus in a process to define desired behaviors/practices and conditions for success. The taskforce is working to create a document that is tentatively called Principles of Community: How we treat each other. A series of discussions have taken place with schools/colleges, leadership teams and in several departments to capture the words and themes that will define our Principles of Community. Open Forums have been scheduled to provide all faculty and staff an opportunity to engage and provide input into this process.
