This course will train you on the role of Equal Employment Opportunity Designee and the service it provides to the University. The focus of the EEOD is to promote equal employment opportunity and ensure a fair and equitable search process. Every search committee must include an EEOD.
All existing EEO Designees who have not completed an EEOD training in the past two (2) years need to attend a workshop in order to continue service. Others who wish to serve the University as an EEOD must attend a workshop as a prerequisite for service.
The Faculty workshops are intended for tenured and tenure-track faculty who wish to serve as an Equal Employment Opportunity Designee (EEOD) on search committees for faculty positions.
The Staff/MPP workshops are intended for staff and managers who wish to serve as an Equal Employment Opportunity Designee (EEOD) on search committees for staff and management positions.

QPR: Suicide Prevention Training

Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for college students between the ages of 18 and 24, but it is preventable. We offer Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) training to help you recognize and respond to the warning signs of suicide. By attending a QPR training, you will learn:
- Common misconceptions about suicide
- Warning signs and risk factors
- How to talk about suicide (Question)
- How to persuade someone to get help (Persuade), and
- How to refer a person to appropriate campus and community resources (Refer).
This training is open to current Fresno State students, staff and faculty only.
