Navigating Fresno State
Q.P.R. Suicide Prevention Training
9 - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, Library 2206
Learn to recognize and respond to the warning signs of suicide. In this training you will learn: common misconceptions about suicide, warning signs and risk factors, how to talk to, persuade and refer a person to appropriate campus and community resources. All attendees will receive a certificate for participation, two-three weeks following training completion. For more information/to register for a training, visit: bit.ly/FSPreventSuicide. This training is open to current Fresno State students, staff and faculty.
Safe Zone Workshop: Becoming an Ally
Noon - 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, ED 140
Safe Zones at Fresno State are individuals or spaces that are safe, open and welcoming to members of the LGBTQ+ community. Workshop attendees will: gain knowledge about the LGBTQ+ community, its struggles and its history. Gain an understanding of the experiences that LGBTQ+ individuals face. Learn skills to help support LGBTQ+ students, faculty and staff learn, thrive and grow at Fresno State.
Safe Zone members receive a badge that identify them as advocates for the LGBTQ+ community. To become a member, you must attend this Safe Zone introduction training, offered several times each academic year, along with two approved LGBTQ+ campus events. Membership must be renewed each year by attendance of events.
Lightning Decision Jam: How to Get Creative Quickly

Lightening Decision jams are fast bursts of creativity that solve very difficult problems. It relies on the expertise in the room and moves teams past decision paralysis. By attending this workshop you can learn how to get your teams to faster solutions or come to some decision you have been stuck on.
Undocumented Student Ally Training (Part 1)

Part 1 of a two-part training for faculty/staff and administrators on undocumented students. Through this training, allies will increase their knowledge and effectiveness to serve Dreamers on campus; increase their awareness of the needs, concerns, challenges and opportunities for Dreamers; and create a welcoming and supportive environment for all Fresno State students.

Couch to 5k

Build endurance and speed as we gradually train for a 5k race at the end of the semester. For runners of all abilities!
Yoga

A mind-body practice that combines gentle stretching exercises, controlled breathing, relaxation techniques and restorative poses.
Pilates
