As part of a series of events in commemoration of the 150th birthday of Gandhi’s birth, Fresno State celebrates his life and legacy through intellectual and activist analyses, a classical Indian music concert, and an interfaith prayer event on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 10 and 11 in the Alice Peters Auditorium (PB 191), Satellite Student Union and Wahlberg Recital Hall (Music 183).
The two-day “Gandhi’s Global Legacy International Conference” features a schedule of scholars and thinkers including keynote speeches by Rev. James Lawson, Jr., Dolores Huerta, Nipun Mehta and Fresno State alumnus Ramsey Jay, Jr. This conference is generously supported by JP and Renu Sethi Foundation and the Uberoi Foundation for Religious Studies.
Parking is $5 for all events before 4 p.m. on Friday in lots P5 and P6.
