CAIFE project creates 'Out at Fresno State' videos
October is LGBTQ+ History Month.
Faculty and staff are invited to watch a series of "Out at Fresno State" videos highlighting LGBTQ+ student experiences at Fresno State and offering advice for employees to better build their allyship with the LGBTQ+ community.
The 'Out at Fresno State' video series includes:
Part 1: LGBTQ+ Student Experiences: Four LGBTQ+ students share their classroom/student life experiences at Fresno State.
Part 2: Trans Student Experiences: Three transgender/gender nonconforming students share their unique experiences at Fresno State.
Part 3: How to Be an Ally: Four faculty and staff experts discuss best practices and share how fellow faculty and staff can become allies to the LGBTQ+ community.
The videos are a result of a Creativity And Innovation For Excellence (CAIFE) project. The series aims to create a more inclusive campus culture for the LGBTQ+ community.
Each video is less than six minutes in length and can be viewed through CSU Learn. Users must log in and register to watch the videos via CSU Learn. The first video is posted below and Campus News will post the other two videos in the following weeks.
