Philip Lorenz International Keyboard Concerts presents pianists Ran Dank and Soyeon Kate Lee. The program will include works by Debussy, Kim, Chopin, Bolcom, Hamelin. and Stravinsky.
Israeli born pianist Dank returns to the series with Lee, his wife and Korean born pianist, both prize winners at numerous prestigious competitions including the Naumburg International Piano Competition and the Sydney International Piano Competition. The combination of Dank’s “impeccable technical surety, explosive force, and triumphant exultation” (The Washington Post) and Lee’s “huge, richly varied sound, lively imagination, and firm sense of style” (The New York Times) results in a most exhilarating experience. This concert is sponsored by the friends of Anita Shanahan in honor of her 102nd birthday.
