J. Ashley Foster, assistant professor in English; Leece Lee-Oliver, assistant professor and director of American Indian Studies; Tammy Lau, head of the Special Collections Research Center and University archivist; and Jenny Banh, assistant professor of anthropology, were chosen as participants in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s digital ethnic studies forum, “New Storytellers,” Thursday, Oct. 25, through Friday, Oct. 26, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Nebraska’s Center for Digital Research in the Humanities is hosting the forum to advance digital ethnic studies and bring more diverse voices and stories to digital life. Fresno State is among 10 colleges and universities that were invited to select two emerging and innovative scholars to attend the forum. At the forum, they will be part of teams thinking critically about digital ethnic studies and working in groups to develop new digital projects.
