Julie Renee Moore, faculty librarian, Special Collections in the Madden Library, presented a workshop to her peers on cataloging 3D Objects at the national OLAC @ 40 Conference, Oct. 13-16. Cataloging non-traditional formats is a specialized skill much prized by librarians as it helps students and researchers access non-traditional materials for their work in our increasingly digital world.
Dr. Lisa Bryant, professor of political science, was invited to participate in “Office Hours,” a service of SciLine, which is a program based at the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The program invites knowledgeable experts to participate in pre-arranged media interviews on a specific topic. This month’s event focuses on voting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Wednesday, Oct. 25, Bryant will speak to reporters about the factors that drive voter behavior and how election administration and pandemic-related challenges this year may influence voters.
Mike VonDolen, print shop manager, and his staff were featured in In-plant Impressions Magazine, pages 30, 31. The article discussed how being creative and offering customers new solutions added to the success of their department, helping them erase the deficit it once had.
