International Coffee Hour partners with Services for Students with Disabilities this week to learn from international student Chandrahas Sai Vishnumolakala.
From New Delhi, India, Vishnumolakala will talk about his journey and the challenges he faced living with a disability in India and his transition to Fresno State.
The student exchange program has helped Vishnumolakala transition to life in America and makes him feel a lot safer since he is living in a new country, he said. His experience at Fresno State has been very “welcoming.” The additional support he has received from Services for Students with Disabilities has been beneficial to help him get around campus, he said.
International Coffee Hour is every Tuesday from 2 to 2:50 p.m. in the Library, room 2206.
"Although this is our first time partnering in an event with the International Office and Continuing and Global Education for International Coffee Hour, my staff have been regular attendees of ICH,” said Jennie Johnson, director of Services for Students with Disabilities. “It's such a great way to learn about different countries and expand our knowledge about different cultures."
