Fresno State Survivor Advocacy Services is presenting a free art exhibit to promote Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We are showcasing Fresno State campus artists who have been affected by domestic violence. Their experiences and realities of domestic violence are highlighted in their own visual expressions. Art is a powerful way to communicate the impact of domestic violence. It is also a way for survivor’s to heal.
Additional displays will highlight the impact as well as remind survivors they are not alone in their struggle, that support is available, and to raise awareness of these crimes with the public. Campus and community resource materials will be put out for anyone who may need them.
Dates: Now - Friday, Oct. 27
Hours: Open during Fresno State Library hours
Location: Ellipse Balcony, Fresno State Library, third floor
*Due to the sensitive nature of some of the works, viewer discretion is advised.
