Cary Edmondson, university photographer, University Marketing and Communications, was named the first place winner of ​the 2024 California State University Photo of the Year competition. The winners were announced at the September CSU Board of Trustees meeting.

Dr. Gil Harootunian, executive director, University Initiatives, has launched the Enhancing CCC-CSU-UC Collaboration website. This initiative is funded by the National Science Foundation’s Growing Research Access for Nationally Transformative Equity and Diversity (GRANTED) program.

The goal is to facilitate connections and the exchange of ideas across California higher education campuses. The PI team — Dean Shirley McManus, Fresno City College; Dr. Maria Napoli, UC Santa Barbara; and Dr. Gil Harootunian, Fresno State — have provided colleagues with a completely new and streamlined way to communicate statewide with colleagues in research administration and colleagues engaged in research.
