The annual Exemplary Practices in Educational Leadership Conference brings together Central Valley leaders from schools, districts, businesses and community organizations to share best practices and challenges.
Coordinated by Dr. Mabel Franks of the John D. Welty Center for Educational Policy and Leadership, past conferences have explored growth mindset, setting and maintaining high expectations, equity and access, leading change and other topics related to educational leadership.
This year's conference theme is "Inspiring Change through Stories, Creative Thought and Attitude." Attendees will build connections with Central Valley education professionals, attend sessions related to current educational leadership practices and challenges and experience keynote addresses by Thomas Murray, 2018 National/Global EdTech Leader of the Year, and Hamish Brewer, 2018 Principal of the Year — Education Dive, will be held.
