Kohn — the author of The Opposite of Hate and host of the State of Resistance podcast — is on campus for a two-day forum, Combating Hate One Talk at a Time.

Kohn advocates talking respectfully and kindly to one another, stressing that we should act with compassion, not hate, toward those who are different.
“We all know how to be nice,” said Kohn. “I think we do. I think we have forgotten in addition to wanting everyone to do it for ourselves, we have to do it for others.”
