Faculty, staff and students are invited to "Bulldogs Healthy Together" — an event that aims to provide community resources and information regarding COVID-19. Participants are encouraged to share the resources and information with their family, friends and community members.
Date: Wednesday, Nov. 10
Time: Noon - 1 p.m.
Location: In front of the Henry Madden Library
The event will include:
- A COVID-19 survival kit, containing a reusable mask and silicone mask insert, hand sanitizer, pens, stress balls and resources, along with a sticker, water bottle and mask
- Tabling and resources about COVID-19
- Yoga and meditation stations to help reduce stress, anxiety and/or depression
- Succulents and candles to encourage self-care and positivity
- Ice cream and pastries, provided by the Alegría Mental Health Task Force
- Dutch Bros
- Musical entertainment
The event will also include a live Q&A Facebook event with a medical professional regarding myths and facts about the COVID-19 vaccine, in partnership with the Family Healthcare Network. This session will be recorded for community members to view on social media, and will be presented later in the day in English (5:30 p.m.) and Spanish (6:15 p.m.).
The event is in partnership with the Alegría Mental Health Task Force, the Social Work Student Association, the Student Health and Counseling Center, the Department of Social Work Education, ASI and the School of Nursing.
