Dr. Mohan Dangi, professor, Environmental Science and Engineering, was the recipient of the "Global Achievement Award" from the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland for his professional achievements and humanitarian services, as the Alumni of the University, related to the research and academic works in the areas of environment protection and solid waste management. Immediately after returning to the U.S., Dangi left for Mount Everest for two weeks to study solid waste alongside a Fresno State geography alumnus.
