The season of gratitude and reflection is upon us, and as cooler weather approaches, we turn our focus to friends, family, food and giving thanks.

In that spirit, I want to thank you for your hard work and support of Fresno State. It was great to hear from you during the open forums a few weeks ago, and I enjoyed spending time with you during our appreciation lunch. Opportunities to connect with you, share lunch with you and hear from you are what I am most grateful for this November.

The success of our students and the entire university would not be possible without your support. Never has this been more evident than during our sixth annual Day of Giving, where we had 512 staff and faculty donate to Fresno State. Your passion, your commitment and your heart shine through in every endeavor, and you contribute to your home — Fresno State. My family and I had such a great time with some of you at the game on Saturday; we’ll make this an annual event. Never has the skybox been so lively and full of Bulldog spirit, and it was so much fun getting to know some of our fantastic faculty and staff a little bit better while cheering on our ‘Dogs!

Thank you for sharing so much of your time and energy with Fresno State and the students we serve; our mission is possible because of you.
