Join the College of Health and Human Services at its annual research showcase, which celebrates outstanding faculty research and scholarly activity. The event, which will include nearly 20 poster presentations, gives fellow faculty, administrators, alumni and the community a chance to meet and collaborate with faculty across campus and learn more about the interdisciplinary and collaborative research opportunities happening within the college and university. There will be four components to the event, including:
- Grant-related panel discussion (3:30 - 4:30 p.m.): This workshop will provide valuable insights into the grant application process helping recipients maximize the impact of their research and fulfill their requirement of learning about grant writing. In addition, we extend a warm invitation to all faculty members who are interested in enhancing their grant application skills. Take advantage of this opportunity to refine your grant-writing abilities. Panelists include: Dr. Brandon Taylor (recreation administration), Dr. Jaymin Kwon (public health), Dr. Na-hyeon ( Hannah) Ko ( physical therapy) and Dr. Nupur Hajela (physical therapy). Dr. Marcus Crawford (social work education) will moderate the panel.
- Roundtable discussion (4:30 - 5:15 p.m.): A discussion on grants and budgets, mentorship for grants, college goals, RSCA and PRSCA award criteria will be led by College of Health and Human Services acting dean Dr. Kara Zografos.
- Research Awards (5:15 - 5:30 p.m.): All College of Health and Human Services RSCA/PRSCA award nominees will be named and recognized.
- Research Showcase (5:30 - 6:30 p.m.): Explore and learn about faculty research through discussion and networking. Dr. Nupur Hajela will highlight the importance of RSCA and PRSCA awards, and discuss funding mechanisms for the faculty. An opportunity to explore and learn about faculty research through discussion and networking will follow.
