In this workshop, employees will learn in a hands-on lab environment about Concur Profile Settings, how to assign an Expense Delegate, how to create a Request for Pre-Approval of travel, and how to create an Expense Report for reimbursement.
QPR: Suicide Prevention Training

Suicide is the second leading cause of death for college students between the ages of 18 and 24, but it is preventable. We offer Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) training to help you recognize and respond to the warning signs of suicide. By attending a QPR training, you will learn:
- Common misconceptions about suicide
- Warning signs and risk factors
- How to talk about suicide (Question)
- How to persuade someone to get help (Persuade)
- How to refer a person to appropriate campus and community resources (Refer)
This training is open to current Fresno State students, staff and faculty.
Medicare 101

You will have the opportunity to learn about the different parts of Medicare, eligibility requirements for Medicare and when to enroll. In addition, you'll learn how your CalPERS retiree health coverage works with Medicare, and the differences between your current and retiree CalPERS health coverage.

A Walk In Their Shoes: Providing "A Successful Meaningful Access" to Students with Disabilities in Higher ED

The President's Cultural Competency Certificate Program consists of: (a) three required on-campus seminars (third required seminar is for new certificate seekers beginning fall 2018), (b) two on-campus elective seminars, (c) one required PCHRE forum keynote presentation, and (d) two on- or off-campus seminars preceded by (e) a mandatory National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) Welcome Diversity Workshop. Non-certificate seekers are welcome to attend all seminars.
This program provides participants with a greater understanding of how we can and why we should work together to continue building a strong and inclusive Fresno State community.

Adobe Lightroom
1:30 - 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 and Tuesday, Nov. 6, Library 2132 (Center for Faculty Excellence)
Lightroom is Adobe’s program specifically developed for photographers. From photo import and management, to editing and printing, Lightroom provides a fairly complete and robust workflow for photographers. This demonstration will:
- Present an overview of the five main programs that Adobe has for editing photographs. There will be discussion on the basic differences and uses between Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom CC, Lightroom CC Classic and Camera Raw.
- Discuss the importance of a nondestructive workflow and demonstrate how Lightroom addresses that from beginning to end.
- Demonstrate a complete workflow using Lightroom. The demonstration will begin with importing several photos into Lightroom, and take them through the process to a finish product. Tasks demonstrated will include: organizing, selecting, editing, batch functions, exporting, and preparing to print or present the images.
- Discuss the seven modules that make up Lightroom with emphasis on the Library and Develop modules.
Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is a complex and diverse image-editing program that has been around for 30 years. This demonstration is for those completely new to Photoshop and who don’t know where to start or for those who are considering Photoshop and want to know what it can do as a photo editing solution. This demonstration/discussion session will focus on the photograph editing capabilities of Photoshop and will:
- Present an overview of the five main programs that Adobe has for editing photographs. There will be discussion on the basic differences and uses between Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom CC, Lightroom CC Classic and Camera Raw.
- Discuss the importance of a nondestructive workflow and demonstrate how Photoshop addresses that.
- Provide information on several available resources for self-help and step-by-step instruction.
- Primarily be a live demonstration of some of the capabilities of Photoshop. Presentations will strive to work from the easier and more basic concepts to more advanced tasks. Topics will start with Photoshop tools, workspace, and menu layouts. From there the demonstration will cover such areas as selections, brushes, masking, layers, blending modes, and filters.
