As we navigate the financial challenges facing our campus, I want to thank each of you for your continued dedication to our mission of educating and empowering our students.
I also want to acknowledge the questions and conversations from many of you regarding the State’s ongoing budget reductions. Today, I’m pleased to share the launch of a new online resource: Our Current Budget Status webpage.
This site has been designed to serve as a central hub where you can access important updates, frequently asked questions and additional resources related to our ongoing financial situation. It’s part of our commitment to ensuring clear and transparent communication with the entire campus community.
While the next major updates will align with the State of California’s budget planning timeline, which includes key milestones in spring 2025, it is imperative that we are all informed of the process. That’s why we will continue to provide you with updates as new information becomes available and as we make progress on managing our fiscal realities.
I encourage you to explore the new webpage. As always, our priority remains the long-term sustainability of the university, and we are committed to making informed decisions that support both our people and our critical mission to our students.
