You are invited to learn about the history of the Hmong New Year in celebration of Hmong New Year. Everyone is welcome.
It is an annual celebration that takes place in the Fall to honor the ancestors and to give thanks for the completion of the year's harvest. Over three days, traditional rituals are performed to honor the spirits of ancestors and to provide for the health and safety of the current family in the New Year. After the three days, families come together in celebration of the New Year by wearing their best Hmong outfits and celebrating with sports and traditional songs and dances.
