Since 2017, Fresno State has been engaged in a discussion around Principles of Community: How We Treat Each Other.
Faculty and staff submitted more than 2,600 responses via an online poll and nearly 30 focus groups explored these principles further, helping to articulate the behaviors associated with the primary themes that emerged.
The Workplace Quality Task Force, which includes representatives from faculty, staff and administration, has created a draft Principles of Community document that outlines four primary themes: respect, kindness, collaboration and accountability.
There are two ways for you to offer feedback on this draft – either in person at an open forum or online.
Open forums:
2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in the Residence Dining Hall
10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in the Henry Madden Library, Room 2206
Online feedback:
An online tool is posted here where you can offer anonymous feedback and highlight words and phrases that you both like and dislike.
Later this month, the task force will gather to review all the feedback and finalize the draft which will be shared with various groups across campus including the Academic Senate, Council of Chairs and Joint Labor Council.
