Adobe Day is Thursday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. between the Speaker's Platform and the University Student Union.
Students, faculty and staff can subscribe to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of graphic design, video editing, web development and photo editing programs thanks to the California State University system which signed a contract this summer to provide campuses with the most-up-to date digital design tools.
A subscription through the University is $35 a year. Licenses are available at tinyurl.com/FSAdobeCC.
“The goal of Adobe Day is to showcase all that its Creative Cloud applications have to offer our students, faculty, and staff,” said Orlando Leon, chief information officer. “Adobe products can be used to enhance the creativity and performance of every student and every program on campus and better support student success.”
Adobe Day will include demonstrations of InDesign, Lightroom, and Spark. Students, faculty, and staff will have the opportunity to win Adobe merchandise as well as Adobe licenses. There will also be an appearance by Fresno State’s own “Photoshop Man” costumed character who finds superpowers through the use of Photoshop and other Adobe applications.
The event is a joint venture with Adobe and many programs at Fresno State, including the Office of the President, Office of the Provost, Technology Services, Henry Madden Library, College of Arts and Humanities Technology Committee, DISCOVERe, the Center for Faculty Excellence, the Media, Communications and Journalism Department, and the Department of Art and Design.
