Works Above and Beyond
Raquel Delgado, Library - Access Services – Circulation
A massive shoutout to Raquel for all her work in creating a positive and welcoming environment for the library's student assistants. Raquel has consistently collaborated with others in the library to find ways to recognize and celebrate the student assistants, including this year's BooBash event. Raquel's positive and can-do attitude has made it a joy to work with her. Thank you for all that you do, Raquel!
Delia Medrano, Library - Administrative Offices
For several years, Delia has consistently gone above and beyond in creating a welcoming and positive work environment for our library student assistants. She has worked tirelessly to facilitate several events celebrating our student assistants, including, but not limited to, this year's BooBash and last year's Student Appreciation Week. Not only has she collaborated with others to spearhead this work, but she has also provided her own personal supplies to support the students' creativity. In this work, Delia has exemplified several Principles of Community, including kindness and respect. Thank you for all that you do, Delia!
Lori Pardi, Facilities Management
Lori came into my office for a separate matter and noticed my chair was broken. I wasn't there when she came in, and without asking, she took photos of my chair and made a few measurements. I walked into my office later that week and saw that my chair had been repaired. Thank you, Lori, for being so thoughtful and taking the time to fix my chair, even when it wasn’t part of what you came to do!
University Dining Services
Huge kudos to Megan Sarantos, University Dining Services and our Auxiliary Services team for your remarkable work and dedication! Your efforts continue to enhance our campus and strengthen our community. Last week, we celebrated the opening of Dunkin’, another great addition to Fresno State! Thank you for helping make our campus better every day and for all you do to build community and elevate the student, faculty and staff experience.
Provides Excellent Customer Service
Joshua Freeman, Library – Shipping and Receiving
Josh consistently delivers excellent customer service by responding quickly to room setup requests in the library, even when they arise at the last minute. He approaches every task with a positive attitude and a friendly demeanor, making it easy to work with him. His reliability, efficiency and willingness to go the extra mile ensure that meetings I schedule run smoothly. I truly appreciate his hard work and professionalism.
Saved My Bacon
Dr. Shimel Saychou, Office of Black Student Success Initiative (BSSI)
Thank you for your exemplary leadership over the BSSI unit. You have demonstrated a leadership style that inspired them, they were able to trust, grow, and all while feeling supported during a stressful transition. Thank you for taking on the extra load to ensure the students are supported because the staff had a strong support structure.
