Dr. Sudarshan Kapoor, professor emeritus, Social Work and Peace Studies, was inducted by the National Association of Social Workers as a Social Work Pioneer for his groundbreaking work in the field of social work and peace enhancement. President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval and Dr. Elaine Ikeda, executive director of LEAD California – hosted at Fresno State, presented at the WSCUC ARC Conference. The conference, “The Big Picture: Framing the Challenges, Focusing on the Future”, was held April 18 to 20 in San Diego.

He, along with President James Harris III, University of San Diego, and Dr. Elaine Ikeda led a session titled “Higher Education and the Public Good: Presidential Perspectives on the Big Picture”.
