Works Above and Beyond
Elaine Champion, Facilities Management
Elaine Champion consistently goes above and beyond in her work at the library. She communicates effectively and efficiently with all faculty and staff, making sure that everyone's needs are met with professionalism and care. Elaine keeps our restrooms and library spaces clean, and whenever there is a spill or a mess, she is always the first to step in and help, never hesitating to go the extra mile. Elaine is an essential and irreplaceable part of our library community. We all deeply admire her positivity, her willingness to assist, and her dedication to maintaining a welcoming and clean environment for everyone. Thank you, Elaine, for always going above and beyond for the library! You are truly a valued and essential member of our team, and we appreciate you more than words can express.
Geoff Thurner, University Marketing and Communications
Geoff Thurner is simply outstanding. I am fortunate to have known him for a decade, both as a faculty member in JCAST and then in COSS when our department transitioned into that college. Over that period of time, Geoff has selflessly devoted himself to supporting Fresno State students and faculty in ways that go above and beyond. He shows up on a whim to help take department photographs, capturing key moments in the lives of students and faculty that will forever be cherished. This week, Geoff spent the entire day at the Central California Research Symposium — not only taking photographs of my students presenting their work, but also carefully reviewing every single poster during each session to try to spot and capture other COSS or JCAST student presenters. So grateful for his presence at our university.
Facilities Management Grounds and Irrigation
There are red roses on Barstow and Chestnut that are absolutely beautiful. They are also on the south side of Thomas Administration. It makes such a big difference when there are bright points like that in our landscape. Thank you to the Facilities Management Grounds and Irrigation teams for keeping the campus beautiful!
Provides Excellent Customer Services
Isaac Caro, Scheduling Office
With two faculty candidate campus visits happening on very short notice, Isaac approved my 25Live requests almost at the same time I hit enter. I had called him for assistance earlier in the day and he handled everything with amazing professional customer service.
