After more than three decades of dedicated service, Mike Bach is retiring.
Bach’s journey with Fresno State began in 1989 when he enrolled as a student in the electrical engineering program. While completing his degree, he worked as a Foundation employee, beginning what would become a 32 1/2-year commitment to supporting the university. In 1995, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and transitioned into a state employee, serving Fresno State for another 30 1/2 years.
Throughout his career, Bach played a key role in the university's technological growth and evolution. He takes pride in having contributed to the transformative advances that have shaped Fresno State’s IT landscape. His work and dedication have left a lasting impact across campus.
Reflecting on his time at Fresno State, Mike shared, “I will miss the people that I worked with over the years.”
His colleagues will certainly miss his expertise, warmth, and steady presence. As Bach moves into this well-earned next chapter, we thank him for his remarkable service and wish him all the best in retirement.
