The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) invites faculty and staff to submit course proposals for the fall 2026 and 2027 terms.
For over 20 years, OLLI has provided educational and enrichment opportunities for adults aged 50 and better. Programming can be offered as lectures, hands-on workshops, on and off-campus field trips, or keynote-style presentations. Most programming is delivered in one to four sessions (90 minutes each). Instructors and participants enjoy a stress-free learning environment with no homework, grades or exams.
Faculty and staff from all disciplines are invited to propose courses. OLLI is committed to offering diverse programming that represents every college and school at Fresno State.
We will host an information session on Zoom to share more about who we are and how we can collaborate with faculty to make the most of their expertise. This is a great opportunity to learn about OLLI’s mission, programming, and how your knowledge can engage lifelong learners.
We strongly encourage faculty to consider proposals for in-person courses, but we also offer courses on Zoom or in hybrid formats. For examples of the wide range of programming OLLI offers, please view our Spring 2026 Catalog.
Many OLLI instructors volunteer their time, but you may request our small stipend with the approval of the department chair and dean. Teaching courses for OLLI makes an excellent addition to RTP files.
