The campus community is invited to participate in a Surplus Department Office Supply Free Swap — an initiative designed to promote resource sharing, reduce unnecessary purchasing and advance campus sustainability efforts.
Date: Thursday, Sept. 17
Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Satellite Student Union
Departments are encouraged to donate surplus office supplies and equipment, which will then be made available to other departments across campus at no cost. Donated items can include surplus general office supplies, office decorations, event supplies, as well as small furniture items such as desk organizers, filing cabinets and office chairs.
On the day of the event, participants can select items for use in their department office or individual campus office (not for home or personal use) and take these with them at the time, or arrange for delivery through the Warehouse department for a later date. Furniture items, including filing cabinets, will be available for use in a campus department office only (not for individual office use).
Departments may drop off approved items between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Satellite Student Union (earlier drop-off is not permitted). Alternatively, if donated items need to be picked up for donation delivery, contact Ryan Lowry (8-6433) between Sept. 1 and 10 to schedule a pickup.
Donated items excluded from this event include large furniture items, campus-inventoried or asset-tagged equipment, desks, conference tables, computers and electronics.
This event is open to employees only; a valid campus ID is required for entry.
