of Enterprise Applications and Information Systems

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Fred Nainavaii as the director of Enterprise Applications and Information Systems within the Technology Services Division.  The Enterprise Applications and Information Systems team oversees our campus-wide technology software, such as the Fresno State mobile app, our Peoplesoft systems, and many other technology tools we use on a daily basis.  Fred joins us on Tuesday May 29, 2018.

Fred comes to Fresno State with over 25 years of Information Technology leadership and management experience working with multidisciplinary groups that supported a variety of corporate and enterprise-level applications for fortune 500 companies such as Molina Healthcare, Blue Shield of CA, Kaiser Permanente, Health Net, Verizon and Citigroup TTI.  

Over the years, Fred has managed and supported several enterprise-wide initiatives and improved multiple operational processes through workflow automation and elimination of paper-based manual processes. While at Health Net, Fred led the development and implementation of the award-winning Health Net’s Corporate Web Site, Healthnet.com, and its portals that positively impacted the productivity and efficiencies for millions of constituents. Fred’s expertise is in providing extraordinary customer service, partnership, collaboration, and teamwork toward achieving a common goal. He credits his career achievements and successes to the support of his family, team members, his Business Unit and IT partners.

Fred received his master’s degree in Computer Engineering from University of Southern California, his MBA degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills and his bachelor’s degree with honors in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge.

As a community volunteer, Fred and his daughter participate in several fund-raising events including the annual “Celebration of Children” and “Feed-the-Homeless” events.  He enjoys teaching, mentoring, coaching, photography, basketball, hiking and bike riding with his daughter and friends.
