Online registration for the summer session of the Osher Lifelong Institute at Fresno State [OLLI] is now open. OLLI provides engaging learning opportunities designed for those aged “50 and better” — no homework, no grades and no exams.
OLLI at Fresno State recently celebrated its 20th anniversary on campus and is one of more than 120 OLLI programs nationwide, each connected to a host college or university. Members enjoy live and virtual classes, off-campus adventures and keynote presentations designed to foster learning and connection.
A sneak peek at highlights from the summer catalog includes:
- Keynote: “The Story of the California 9/11 Memorial” with retired Clovis Fire Captain Jim Stemler.
- Adventure: Visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium with biology professor Dr. Brian Tsukimura.
- Once-a-month courses: “Current Events,” “Games You Love to Play,” “Book Club” and “Let’s Talk Sports.”
- 16 in-person and online short courses.
The membership fee — $25 per person for the summer session — provides the following perks:
- Admission plus a guest pass to keynote presentations.
- An opportunity to enroll in OLLI courses and adventures.
- Information about events happening at Fresno State.
- All OLLI members receive a Fresno State Library card good for the duration of that session.
Employee Discount
For an employee discount of $10 off the membership fee, enter the code OLLI26 on the registration form. Don’t worry if you haven’t reached that age 50 milestone yet — OLLI has a category for those “under 50” to register.
Teach a Course
Faculty or staff interested in teaching an OLLI course can submit a course proposal here. Proposals for fall 2026 are due Monday, June 1.
