Sandi Pugh, Financial Aid and Scholarships
Huge shout out to Sandi! She has been with our office as a financial aid counselor for about five months now and is someone I can go to when I have a question. She is willing to go above and beyond to help. Most recently, she stepped in to help when I had a difficult student. Thank you, Sandi, for all that you do!

Marissa Castillo, Environmental Health and Safety and Risk Management
Several times since COVID, Marissa has facilitated N95 mask fittings by providing me with training or necessary supplies. Most recently she just took that task off my plate and did the N95 mask fitting for a good number of students so I could concentrate on making sure they were onboarded to start their clinical experience on time. Marissa never says, "it's not my job," and always helps me problem solve when a student doesn't pass their mask fit test. Thank you, Marissa — you have really saved my bacon several times over the past few years and I truly appreciate it!

Robert went above and beyond duty to help me with a transcript problem. A simple name mistake on my transcript was preventing my acceptance into a master’s program. His prompt assistance helped me make the deadline and a few days later, I received my acceptance letter. Thank you, Robert!
John Howell, Technology Services
While I was on vacation, John took on a project that I thought was completed. Although it completely met the users requirements, there were mitigating circumstances that needed more changes. John jumped in to read through the unfamiliar code and trouble-shoot the issue with the customer. He rewrote some of the programming code, then working closely with the University Health Center and the University Registrar's Office, got the issue resolved, tested and the changes installed into production. Hundreds (if not thousands) of new students will have easier access to their student center because of his hard work and dedication. Thank you!
