Opening Ceremony with Coach Jaime White
Your Wave is Waiting...Navigating Through Life's Obstacles & Catching Your Wave to Success
Join Coach White as she shares anecdotes from her own experiences how choices, challenges, and consequences all factor into successfully riding the waves of life. Just like the ocean, we all face challenging waves and have the choice to conquer and find joy when tsunamis come our way. Coach White invites everyone to hang loose and heed the classic words of the Beach Boys, “Let’s go surfing now…”
Jaime White, head coach of the Fresno State women’s basketball program, is no stranger to riding the waves of success. As she enters her fifth season with the Bulldogs, Coach White has guided the ‘Dogs to two 20-win seasons, three postseason appearances and two appearances in the Mountain West tournament championship game.
Closing Ceremony with the Polynesian Club of Fresno
Join the Polynesian Club of Fresno as they share their love of Polynesian culture and the heritage of its people through the enchanting music and dance of the Polynesian Islands. From the graceful hulas, to the awesome Samoan fire knife dance, to the fast-paced drum dances of Tahiti, this show will take you on a journey through the islands. The Polynesian dance troupe is under the direction of the Kuma family in Fresno, California and has been bringing the beauty of the islands to the San Joaquin Valley for over 40 years.
