The U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board announced political science professor Dr. Melanie H. Ram received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award to study in Europe.

Ram will research the subregional intergovernmental organizations that emerged in Europe since the end of the Cold War, many of which were established to support European integration and security and stability in Europe. She will visit Italy, Croatia and Romania and will also meet with faculty and students at the University of Zagreb and the University of Bucharest. Read more here.

Dr. Anil Shrestha, chair of the Department of Viticulture and Enology and professor of weed science, has co-edited two books, "Persistence Strategies of Weeds" and "Global Plant Invasions."
