With a legacy of more than 365 honorees since 1953, the Top Dog Alumni Awards is a proud Fresno State tradition. This event honors a select group of accomplished Fresno State alumni who have made significant contributions to society, and whose accomplishments, affiliations and careers have honored Fresno State.
“The Top Dog Alumni Awards is an inspiring event that recognizes the achievements of our most accomplished alumni,” said Jacquelyn Glasener, executive director of the Alumni Association. “This year’s class of honorees represent what it truly means to be a Bulldog, and we are excited to celebrate their successes with the University and community.”
The 2022 Arthur Safstrom Service Award was presented to Dr. Sudarshan Kapoor. He has been a professor at Fresno State since 1967, making 2022 his 55th year with the University. He has taught social work, community development, and was the founder and inaugural director of Fresno State’s Peace and Conflict Studies Program. Kapoor also assisted with establishing Fresno State’s Peace Garden.
We are proud to celebrate this year’s remarkable alumni and friends and reflect on their notable successes.
